RSS and Newsreaders

RSS and newsreaders are great for gathering information together and pooling the ideas of individuals. A global sharing of news and ideas.

I selected the following sites and found some interesting tips for library searches.

Picture of the Day www.powerhousemuseum.com/imageservices from March 12 and 13.
Coloured Butter Sculptures made by Gyuto Monks of Tibet in 2004 for the Museum fits nicely for Harmony Day on the 21st March (we have a display in the library).

ABS for Librarians htttp//abs4libraries.blogspot.com provides latest information, news tip and stories including sources such as crime and justice statistics and 2011 Census for public consultation. I've had enquiries for both these topics and further leads are helpful.

Library Bytes http://librarybytes.com
Sharing tips from Librarians is wonderful.

SMH with a range of blogs http://www.smh.com.au/blogcentral.index.html
I selected out of curiousity the backpackers section and came across the topic Why I would whale - good for the for and against of whaling with individuals views of this issue.

ABC News www.abc.net.au/news/feeds/rss.htm
Current issues and podcasting interesting.
